Who are we?
We are a group of parents who are involved in playing a crucial role in making sure our children have a primary school experience they can treasure forever. Yes, we are here to try and fundraise for the school, but we try to do this by having fun whilst enriching the school experience for all our pupils.
What events do we organise?
We organise many activities such as school discos, summer and Christmas fayres, Easter Egg hunts, film nights, magic nights, and more.
What do we do with the money we raise?
So far, the money raised by the Friends has enabled us to purchase many resources for the school, including: adventure play equipment, a gazebo, outdoor stage and projector, sun canopies above all classes, the PA system, iPads for the phonics programme, trees for the school field to provide shade and sponsoring ‘Science Week’, to name just a few!
If I join, how much time do I need to commit?
One of the misconceptions with PTA’s is that you need to go to all meetings and be on hand at every event, but that really isn’t the case. Though PTA members will attend the meetings where they can, to help plan events, PTA volunteers help with things like wrapping prizes and folding raffle tickets, as well as running stalls or helping on refreshments. This certainly wouldn’t need to be at every event, just as and when you are able, every little helps. Without these PTA volunteers, there would be no PTA. We would LOVE to have you join us; in whatever capacity you are able to.
